I am a Mexican-American illustrator, farmer and former restaurant manager living in Portland, OR.

I am also a gardener, chicken caretaker, embroidery aficionado, obsessive cook, nature preserver, former ballet dancer, nice weather rock climber, flower presser, neighborhood runner, far away from any family member, sad poem writer, secretly-listening-to-musicals person with a tendency to talk your ear off about the latest food news.

I now write (and illustrate) all things food.
